Raising funds to improve the club's mountaineering and safety skills.

OUR story

We are the University of Leicester Mountaineering Club; One of the most active university mountaineering clubs in the UK.

The ULMC is all about allowing members to discover and develop their passion for climbing and mountaineering. We provide a safe and supportive environment for them to reach new heights! This club is perfect for getting away from the stress of university life and enjoying the best bits of the U.K (and abroad!) with friends.

Unfortunately, our club doesn't fit into many of our University's standard sport club criteria, we therefore cannot access a large part of the funding that they provide. Over time, this has meant the club has been suffering financially and starting each academic year with negative funds. But this year, with your help, alongside a huge effort from this year's committee, we will finally be able to change that.

Where will the money go?

As a climbing and mountaineering club, it is vital that we keep our safety equipment and skills up to scratch. The gear, the ropes, the teaching... all of this comes at a price. We hope that this fundraiser will enable us to provide more training courses for our club. We will be investing in the safety of members for years to come.

You do not always need to give money to help us succeed. Please share our project with anyone you can think of that could help support us! Whether it is on Facebook, Instagram, email, telephone or simply word of mouth! Unfortunately we can only provide prizes for monetary donations.

Thank you!
