You agree to use the Site and all Services responsibly and legally and not to use the Services for any purpose that is prohibited by the Terms. The Services are provided solely for your use in relation to a Project or Projects. You are responsible for all of your activity in connection with the Services. Under the Terms you are prohibited from taking any action in relation to your use of the Services which:

Additionally, you agree not to:

You specifically agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of the Services through any automated means (including use of scripts or web crawlers) and agree not to run any form of spam or auto-responder on the Services.
If you breach this provision, you may be committing a criminal offence. The University of Leicester will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Site will cease immediately.
The University of Leicester does not guarantee that any Content will be made available on or through the Services. However, the University of Leicester reserves the right to remove, edit or modify any Content in its sole discretion from the Services at any time, without notice to you and for any reason (including, but not limited to, upon receipt of claims or allegations from third parties or authorities relating to such content or if the University of Leicester is concerned that you may have violated the Terms).

The University of Leicester reserves the right to refuse registration of or to cancel a user name in its sole discretion and to disable any user name or password, at any time, if in its reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of the Terms. You agree and understand that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of passwords associated with any account you use to access the Services. You must not disclose this information to any third party. Accordingly, you agree that you are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Gifts made on leicsgo.le.ac.uk are regarded as gifts to the University of Leicester, who then distribute funds to Creators for approved Projects. By approving a Project to be hosted on leicsgo.le.ac.uk, the University of Leicester agrees to transfer to the University of Leicester Students’ Union, upon successful completion of the Project, the total sum of funds pledged (less 10% of total monies pledged or £50, whichever is the smaller) in addition to pound-for-pound matched funding not exceeding £500 for qualifying projects (please see FAQ for details on qualifying projects.) The University of Leicester Students’ Union are then responsible for disbursing funds to Creators via Club or Society bank accounts.
By using leicsgo.le.ac.uk as a Creator, you agree and warrant that 10% of total monies pledged (or £50, whichever is the smaller) will be deducted from completed Projects and invested into the Leicester Endowment, an unrestricted fund for use wherever need is greatest for purposes including, but not limited to, increasing student opportunities and ensuring the ongoing sustainability of the student crowdfunding programme.
By using leicsgo.le.ac.uk as a Sponsor, you agree and warrant that a percentage of your pledge, not to exceed 10% of total monies pledged to a Project or £50 (whichever is the smaller,) will be invested into the Leicester Endowment for the aforementioned purposes.
Creators are responsible for fulfilling obligations both implied and stated in any Project they create. The University of Leicester reserves the right to decline to publish a project on leicsgo.le.ac.uk, or to remove a Project from the Services and cancel all associated Sponsors' pledges, at any time and for any reason.
By publishing a Project on leicsgo.le.ac.uk as a Creator, you agree that the University of Leicester will contact you approximately three months after successful completion for a progress report on the status of your Project. By publishing a Project on leicsgo.le.ac.uk you agree to provide an update on your progress by email at this time. You also agree that the University of Leicester may contact you in the future in order to request photographs, quotes and case-studies which may be used in the promotion of the student crowdfunding programme.
Creators are responsible for stating in their Project summary what will happen to surplus funds in the unlikely event that all funds are not spent in the completion of their Project. In normal circumstances, surplus funds will be invested back into the Creator’s Club or Society for use wherever need is greatest. If for whatever reason this is not possible (for example in the event that a Club or Society terminates) all reasonable steps will be taken to return surplus funds to the donor at a level proportional to their original contribution. In the event that this proves impossible or impracticable, funds will be reinvested into the student crowdfunding platform for the benefit of future projects. As a Sponsor, you agree that any surplus funds remaining from your pledge may be used in the manner outlined in the Project summary. As a Creator, you agree that funds donated through the leicsgo.le.ac.uk platform will not be used for purely social activities. If in doubt as to the validity of a proposed means of using funds, guidance should be sought in the first instance from the Philanthropy, Alumni and Community Engagement Team (PACE) via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sponsors will be offered the opportunity to add Gift Aid to their pledge for projects which are eligible (please see the FAQ for details of qualifying projects.) This increases the value of eligible gifts to the University by 25% at no extra cost to the Sponsor. It is the sole responsibility of Sponsors to ensure that they are eligible before indicating that they wish to add Gift Aid to their pledge. By adding Gift Aid to your pledge via leicsgo.le.ac.uk, you acknowledge and agree that any Gift Aid claimed will not be paid out to the individual Creator and will instead be retained by the University of Leicester and will be used to ensure the sustainability of the student crowdfunding platform.
By fundraising using leicsgo.le.ac.uk, you agree that any equipment, devices or physical items purchased remain the property of the Club or Society and the University of Leicester Students’ Union and not of the individual Creator. You agree that any items purchased will be documented with the Students’ Union according to their policies and procedures and will be returned at the end of the academic year either to the Students’ Union or to the elected Society Officers for the following academic year.
Payments and Fees
There is no charge to publish a Project on leicsgo.le.ac.uk. All funds are collected for Creators via the University of Leicester’s Stripe account. Stripe is a payment service which allows the University to accept and process credit card, debit card and other types of card payments from Sponsors. Neither the University of Leicester nor Sponsorcraft Ltd is responsible for the performance or fairness of Stripe. Individual Creators and Sponsors are not required to register with Stripe.
Stripe apply a fee to the funds raised by successful Projects. This fee is dependent on the size of donations and may change over time. Please visit Stripe’s Fees page for more information on their costs. Any fees associated with the use of Stripe as a payment processor for the leicsgo.le.ac.uk platform will be the responsibility of the University of Leicester. In the event of the occasional failure of a Sponsor’s credit or debit card, neither the University of Leicester nor Sponsorcraft Ltd can guarantee the full receipt of the funds raised.
The University of Leicester will transfer to the University of Leicester Students’ Union all sponsorship monies pledged and paid by Sponsors, less 10% of total pledged (before Stripe fees) or £50, whichever is the smaller, which shall be invested into the Leicester Endowment. Transfers are completed at the end of the calendar month and therefore funds may take up to 4 weeks to become available. Creators are then responsible for ensuring the transfer of their funds from the University of Leicester Students’ Union to their individual Club or Society bank account. No payment of funds shall be made to any Creator’s personal bank account under any circumstances.

The University of Leicester may transfer its rights and obligations under the Terms to another organisation, and the University of Leicester will always notify you in writing if this happens, but this will not affect your rights or the University of Leicester’s obligations under the Terms.
You agree that if the University of Leicester does not exercise or enforce, or delays in exercising or enforcing, any legal right or remedy which is contained in the Terms (or which the University of Leicester has the benefit of under any applicable law), this will not be taken to be a formal waiver of the University of Leicester’s rights and that those rights or remedies will still be available to the University of Leicester (and does not mean that you do not have to comply with your obligations). If the University of Leicester does waive a default by you, the University of Leicester will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that the University of Leicester will automatically waive any later default by you.
This contract is between you and the University of Leicester. A person who is not a party to the Terms has no right to rely on or enforce any of the Terms.
Each of the paragraphs of the Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

The University of Leicester will not file a copy of the contract between you and the University of Leicester.
Where the words "in writing" appear in the Terms, this includes email. The Terms, and your relationship with the University of Leicester under the Terms (including the subject-matter of the Terms and the formation of the contract, and any contractual or non-contractual dispute associated with your use of the Services), are governed by English law. You and the University of Leicester agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any such dispute. Notwithstanding this, you agree that the University of Leicester shall still be allowed to apply for injunctive remedies (or an equivalent type of urgent legal relief) in any jurisdiction.
